KUALA LUMPUR, BUKIT BINTANG – The 14 th BB Charity Carnival will be held in front of KK SUPER MART, 75 Jalan Bukit Bintang, on 26 th January 2019, at 5.30p.m. This carnival aims to bring the Chinese New Year’s cheers and joy more than 1,500 underprivileged individuals which includes senior citizens, orphans, people with limited abilities, rehabilitated drug addicts, single mothers, and homeless people. This event is jointly organized by Bukit Bintang Charity Society and the Kuala Lumpur Chinese Assembly Hall (KLCAH), supported by Bukit Bintang Hawkers and Petty Traders Association. Yang Berhormat Tuan Haji Khalid bin Abd Samad, Minister of Federal Territory has confirmed his attendance as the Guest of Honour
for this event.
The theme for 14th BB Charity Carnival is ‘Precious Love’. In conjunction with Chinese New Year, red packets, goodies bags and packed food & drinks will be distributed to the underprivileged individuals of Kuala Lumpur. Datuk Seri Dr. KK Chai, Chairman of Bukit Bintang Charity Society, expressed that ‘We are grateful to be celebrating the new year with more than 2,000 people of Kuala Lumpur. We wish the underprivileged communities too, are able to share the joy and happiness of Chinese New Year’.
This event will be attended by 5 religious leaders:
1) Tuan Haji Mohd Ajib B.Ismail, Pengarah Jabatan Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan;
2) YBhg.Sri Kasi Datuk RS Mohan Shan, President of Malaysia Hindu Sangam;
3) The Most Reverend Archbishop Julian Leow Beng Kim
4) YBhg.The Most Ven. Datuk K Sri Dhammaratana Nayaka Maha Thera, Founder & Spiritual Advisor of the Ti-Ratana Welfare Society and Ti-Ratana Buddist Society;
5) Mr Daozhang Tan Hoe Chieow AMS, President, Federation of Taoists Associations of Malaysia
Red packets and goodies worth more than RM300,000 will be given to more than 1500 underprivileged individuals. To keep the audiences entertained, the carnival will also cultural performances such as Hakka songs & Wushu, lion dance, dragon dance, and also magic performance. The night will end on a high note with a grand fireworks performance.

Bukit Bintang Charity Society wishes our government continue to provide incentives and subsidies to the underprivileged communities, in order to help them have their basic necessities met’, says Datuk Seri Dr KK Chai.
3 units of f Myvi 1.3L G (Auto) worth RM46,000 each and many more prizes with a total value worth of RM300,000 were given out on this day. There were more than 40 prize winners attended the Prize Giving Ceremony held in front of KK SUPER MART, Bandar Puchong Jaya outlet for the Wave and ‘Menang’ Campaign.
The Wave and ‘Menang’ Campaign started on 1 st Oct 2018 ended on 31 st Dec 2018 was organised by KK SUPER MART in collaboration with Payments Network Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PayNet).
The objective of this campaign was to encourage KK SUPER MART customers to go cashless with MyDebit card. With a minimum purchase of RM15 and wave through MyDebit card in any KK SUPER MART outlets, customers stand a chance to win fabulous prizes.
Total there were 42 prizes given out in Oct, Nov and Dec 2018 respectively.

Exco Selangor Y.B. Puan Dr. Siti Mariah Binti Mahmud, Chairman of Standing Committee on Health, Welfare, Women and Family Empowerment and KK SUPER MART Founder and Executive Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr. K.K. Chai officially launched the Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (KISS) programme at KK SUPER MART’s Seri Kembangan outlet this afternoon. In attendance also Y.B. Wong Siew Ki, member of state council for Balakong, Mr. Tee Kok Hiem, General Manager of KK SUPER MART and representatives from SelCare Corporation.
KISS programme is one of the Selangor government initiatives to lessen the burden of mothers under the low-income group (Group B40), by providing RM200 in financial assistance in the purchase of necessities, which includes food, cleaning products, school supplies, diapers etc.
KK SUPER MART has 180 participating outlets located at the neighbourhood in Selangor. Besides offering a wide variety of essential products, KK SUPER MART has 6,000 to 9,000 products that mothers can choose from under one roof thus save time and cost. KK SUPER MART is also the only grocery store among the 6 participating companies thatoperates 24 hours to provide the mothers with the most convenience.
